For most travelers begin the journey to New Zealand in Auckland, the largest city in the country. Although Auckland has around 1.2 million inhabitants, the city is due to their structure and quite many green spaces manageable. In the two harbors innumerable sailing boats lie at anchor, earning Auckland the nickname “City of Sails”. It is advisable to visit the Skytower, the landmark of the city and probably the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. The capital city Wellington has a back seat in terms of interest in no way behind Auckland. For example, there, for example, the former parliament building. Although it looks like a stone house, it’s actually one of the largest wooden building in the world. The National Museum of New Zealand has its headquarters in Wellington, it contains an extensive collection of natural history and deals with the history of the country and its inhabitants, the Maoris.
