In Edfu, approx.105 km south of Luxor, is the almost perfectly preserved temple of Horus. The 237-57 BC newly built temple offers an impressive architecture from the Ptolemaic period and is also the best preserved house gods of Egypt, because it was a long time up to the capitals covered with sand.
